Chart Window Help

The chart contains a number of useful options.
Sizing - The top links on the chart allow the size of the chart to be changed.
Technical Methods - A composite of unique technical methods are used to analyze the market. The overview presents all methods combined for a single day. The colored area under the show current performance. Areas of green are for times when bullish conditions have been identified, the gray area for a neutral stance and the red for a bearish outlook.
Selecting individual methods for Gann, Gaps, Momentum and the Template method change the chart to display the selected technical indicator and the comment area to display the last four comments made on the method.
Past Comments - Past comments are kept in the achieve and can be accessed by double clicking on the chart in the approximate area of interest. The comment area will be update to reflect comments made near and around the date selected. If the overview mode is selected then a composite of methods for the date are displayed along with Commentary and Summary. If an individual method is selected only the comments for this method is displayed.
Status Window - Three status windows are present on the status bar on the lower part of the chart. The first section displays "Loading" when chart data is being accessed. On a high speed connection "Loading" should only flash briefly. Slower connections will take longer to load data.
The second status pane displays the date where the cursor is located and the third pane displays the price. By dragging the cursor across the screen the date and price can be determined for any point on the chart.
Tool Bar - The icon or tool bar in the lower right side of the chart provides tools to vary the chart display.
Time Base - The first four buttons "H, D, W, M" control the time frame of the chart. There are four supported time frames - hourly, daily, weekly and monthly.
List Management - The backward and forward arrows allow the attached list to be scanned. Not page displays will have attached lists. In some cases lists can be changed. The next symbol or issue in the list is displayed when pressing one of these buttons. The list is wrapped around to the beginning when the end of the list is reached.
Zoom in and Zoom Out -The magnifying glass with the green plus and red minus is used to expand and contract the time scale to provide a more detailed or broader view of the chart.
Parameters - The "P" button button displays a parameter screen to allow lists changes, symbol look up and selection and other pertinent parameters to be changed.
Help - The help button displays and closes this help screen.
