Electric System (Max 100 points)

The 928 was designed as a luxury sports or GT car with all of the bells and whistles.  Each year increased complexity to add new features.  The development of the electrical system came at a transitional time when electronic controls were evolving from mechanical to digital.  The later cars took advantage of these changes by adding digital readouts and more sophisticated electronics.

Electronic components while reliable are also sensitive to bad wiring and poor workmanship by mechanics.  It is not unusual for the 928 to develop electrical gremlins that can be costly to repair.  For this reason, it is very important to pay close attention to any warning lights that remain on during operation and components that do not function.  Often what can be thought to be a bad motor or other easily replaced component will turn out to be far more complicated expensive.
